About Euwitt Nyanhongo

Euwitt is a 48 year old Master Sculptor who has been sculpting since his teen years. He comes from a family of immensely talented artists. His father Claude was a sculptor of note during the early days of the Zimbabwean sculpture movement. He has several brothers and sister who are well traveled and accomplished sculptors who have shown their work at prestigious venues around the world.

Mr. Nyanhongo is a sculptor of Shona descent and comes from Nyanga a small town in eastern Zimbabwe bordering Mozambique. Hence "The Man From Nyanga”. The word zimbabwe itself literally translates to "place of stone" and some of Zimbabwe’s most beautiful and hardest stones are found in Zimbabwe's Nyanga region.
