Zuva Gallery Owners, Tom and Mary Kay Obert are longtime residents of Arizona and have been traveling to Africa since 1988. Since launching Zuva Gallery in 1996 with their son Michael Obert (who now operates Obert Contemporary art gallery in Johannesburg, South Africa), they continue to make frequent visits to Africa. They work directly with artists at their studios in various countries throughout Africa to source and procure the finest works of art that Africa has to offer.
Zuva Gallery Owner and Director, Lisa Paulick, holds a B.A. in Art History from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. Since joining Zuva Gallery in 1998, Lisa has traveled to various countries in Africa and is highly knowledgeable in the field of contemporary African art. With over a decade of museum and gallery experience, she is responsible for curating the Zuva Gallery collection and special artist exhibitions that are held throughout the year. Lisa is also Zuva Gallery's media relations and publicity contact.
