by Derric van Rensburg
Born in Cape Town in 1952, Derric van Rensburg spent much of his childhood exploring the remote Langkloof Mountains. His early explorations triggered a lifelong love for the outdoors and wildlife. After moving to Greyton, he was further inspired by the vistas, wheat farms and valleys of the Riviersonderend Mountains. Today, after more than two decades of painting professionally, Derric has developed an unmistakable, contemporary style that celebrates southern Africa's wildlife and landscapes through a unique blend of bold color, abstraction and realism.
Since 1978, Derric has staged numerous successful exhibitions in South Africa, Portugal, Italy, Australia and England. Zuva Gallery is proud to highlight the work of this important South African artist.
